When first given the brief of this project and realising it was self-led, I instantly panicked! After a 10 year hiatus from education I really struggled to find direction.
My initial thought process behind selecting a theme was to reach for autobiographical subjects. Since my last course I have become a mother, suffered with my mental health, found love, suffered loss, discovered my identity - all huge canon events. How can you choose?!
I made a mind map based on 4 key themes

Whilst brain-storming I realised that there was connections between the 4 subjects and their sub-headings. I started focusing on a general theme duality.
